It wasn't too long ago that there was a leopard on the loose in Pretoria and hippo sightings are a common occurrence in La Lucia.
An area that isn't known for its dangerous roaming wildlife is Cape Town, but residents of Grassy Park were left completely baffled when they saw a large hippopotamus walking through their streets.

Residents took to social media to share videos of the confused and lost hippo walking through the streets.
It was determined that the hippo is one of the resident hippos at Rondevlei Nature Reserve which is close to Grassy Park and it was just trying to find its way home.
