This is the 57th annual showdown and while it might be one of the most significant sporting events in the United States, it has also become synonymous with show-stopping musical performances.
While sports fans patiently wait for the half-time clock to tick away, music fans are waiting in anticipation of the half-time show.

The Superbowl Half-Time Show has become an institution in its own right, as the stage has been graced by the likes of Paul McCartney, Beyoncé, Michael Jackson, Prince, Lady Gaga, Shakira, and Jennifer Lopez just to name a few.
This year it was time for the Barbados-born Rihanna to work 17 years of music into just 13 minutes.

While some fans might try to disagree, the night was not all about Rihanna and her performance.
There was also a pretty major football game taking place.

So here are some fun facts you might not have known about the big game:
- Super Bowl LVII will take place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona between Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs. The Eagles, who’ll be competing in their fifth Super Bowl, will be sporting their home green jerseys, while the Chiefs, who’ll be playing in their fifth Super Bowl, will be in white.
- In what some may call an awkward moment, Andy Reid who coaches the Chiefs, was the Eagles head coach from 1999-2012. He will essentially be doing his best to defeat a team he spent over a decade building.
- Perhaps even more interesting is the situation mom Donna Kelce finds herself in as the first mother to have two sons play against each other at the Super Bowl. Her younger son Travis plays Chiefs tight end while her son Jason plays centre for the Eagles. She has been spotted wearing a “half-and-half” top ahead of Super Bowl LVII, incorporating the colours of her both of the teams.
If you're looking to catch the game, you can watch any of the repeats on Monday, 13 February at 8:00, 17:00, and 22:00 on ESPN2 and at 14:00 on ESPN.
