WhatsApp announces new feature for 'special chats'

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently announced the latest WhatsApp update on the official Meta channels.
The popular messaging service has been doing the most recently with new updates popping up everywhere and announcements that the app will completely stop working on certain models of phones in the near future.

The latest announcement is all about keeping your chats secret.
While many WhatsApp users might have just been satisfied with the 'archived chats' option, WhatsApp's update is now taking it one step further with users being able to lock chats.

The company have released a video showcasing the new function, saying that it will help protect "your most personal chats":

While it might be exciting for the company to continue innovating, many users have said that this locked chats feature might only benefit and be of interest to a very specific group of people:
