GMA Coronavirus Support: Helping Danie feed the homeless in Arcadia
A man who decided to turn his life around 15 years ago, gets a welcoming surprise from Good Morning Angels and LottoStar.
BACKGROUND: My Name is Sechaba Potse. I would like to nominate Danie, who once himself was homeless on the streets of Pretoria. Some 15 years ago he decided to do something with his life and he created a non-profit organisation Homeless Solutions, to help others like himself off the street. He provides a roof over their heads and basic three meals a day. He has been helping people to get off the streets and back on their feet for the past 15 years - without any state support. I work with Danie. We survive purely on the charity from the general public, we have been hanging on stubbornly on a thread. But now, there's barely anything coming in from sponsors and our supporters in this trying time, we could really use an angel's touch. Thank you for the opportunity!
