Good Morning Angels: Educating a generation with iSchoolAfrica and the #JacaiPadDrive
Updated | By Lee-Roy Wright
Do you have an iPad lying around that you are not using anymore?
This year, Jacaranda FM has teamed up with iSchoolAfrica to help make a difference in the education sector and asked communities to donate old iPads and for companies to sponsor quarterly learning activations in schools.
REQUEST FOR: Nsha-Peu Primary School in Soshanguve
ANGEL 1: Suzann Prinsloo from ITSI
SPONSORING: The ITSI will donate the R150,000 cash contribution needed to roll out the iSchoolAfrica project at Nsha-Peu Primary School. This pays for the preparing of the iPads and the portable iPad-lab, the loading of math literacy apps on the iPads as well as the training of teachers and learners, including support for six months.
YOU CAN HELP:
Jacaranda FM listeners can become Angels by supporting the iSchoolAfrica project at three primary schools. The project has already been rolled out at Laerskool Westerlig in Pretoria West. Now, we need more iPads to roll out at the Nsha’Pelo Primary School in Soshanguve and two more schools to be announced in 2018. We are in need of 20 iPads per school.
Donations can be made to the Good Morning Angels Fund account. Jacaranda FM will then buy refurbished iPads.
