GOOD MORNING ANGELS 3 MAY 2017 (MELTI)
Five year old chemo-warrior Melti Grobler is fighting cancer for a second time - he needs your help.
REQUEST FROM: Liezel de Bruyn
REQUEST FOR: Five-year old Melti Grobler
ANGEL: The Good Morning Angels Fund
SPONSORING: The GMA Fund will contribute R30,000 towards Melti’s trust fund for medical treatment and the search for a bone marrow donor.
BACKGROUND: Melti Grobler is five years old. Those who know him, call him a warrior. In his little life he has battled cancer and won. Melti was just over a year old when he was diagnosed. Above all expectation, after aggressive chemo treatment, Melti went into remission - even though a bone marrow transplant is usually the only way to cure AML Leukaemia in children.
His mom, Melanie, says that at the time he was to weak and little to survive a transplant and his remission was a gift. After three cancer-free years, Melti went for his annual check-up on 10 January - again he was given a clean bill of health.
However, two days later, Melanie got a call from his oncologist - Melti needed more tests. For a second time, cancer was diagnosed - his Leukaemia was back and Melti is again fighting the “kieme-mannetjies'”.
Mom Melanie had to give up her job to stay with him as he goes through the chemo process. His dad, Melt, is working two jobs and his eight-year-old sister, Kayleigh, is staying with their grandparents. She cannot come into contact with her little brother now as Melti has to be in a germ-free environment.
He needs a bone marrow donor and transplant that the medical aid is refusing to pay for. Over 30 possible donors have been identified, but the family needs R140,000 for the final testing. And then, the transplant that lies ahead. Melti needs as many angels as possible to help.

ORIGINAL REQUEST:
Hello julle almal by Good Morning Angles.
Melti was as baba gediagnoseer met AML leukemia in 2013.
Asb indien julle kan help kontak my of Mamma Melanie. Duisende dankie aan almal van julle.
Groete,
Liezel
