Good Morning Angels: Making a dream come true for eight-year-old with cancer
Eight-year-old Kagiso’s dream has come true as he fights lymph cancer.
BACKGROUND: Eight-year-old Kagiso Mathews from Cosmo City just loves everything about racing and sports cars. He loves their beauty, speed, and technology. He’s never been in a real sports car, or even seen one in action - but he loves playing games with speeding cars. Kagiso has had to keep himself busy indoors for the past few months - although he’d rather go to school with his friends. Kagiso has been fighting life-threatening Burkitt Lymphoma, which is a type of cancer found in the lympathic system. His dad (Tumi), mom (Nikiwe), and six-year old sister are by his side all the way, to support him through this difficult chemo battle - and they are strong and positive. Good Morning Angels teamed up with Reach for a Dream, and racing driver Saul Hack, to take young Kagiso’s mind off the illness and to help him believe in his dreams.

ANGEL 1: International Porsche Racing driver, Saul Hack
SPONSORING: Saul Hack took Kagiso around the Kyalami Race Track in his racing Porsche GT 3. Saul’s team had to redesign the inside of the car, to accommodate a passenger seat for little Kagiso! The unforgettable trip took around six minutes - that’s three times around the track at around 280km’s/hour - Kagiso just loved the speed and couldn’t stop smiling!
