"I was 14 the first time I thought of suicide" - Singer Armand Joubert

If you search 'Armand Joubert', you inevitably land on one of his social media pages, where the pictures show a man living his dream, creating magic on stage and writing radio hit after radio hit.

Behind the 'Gram' was a different story.
This week is Teen Suicide Prevention Week and in a heartfelt interview with Danny Painter, Armand Joubert, also known as AJ, opened up about the side of his life he has kept private, until now.

"I cancelled shows, I cancelled time with family. I thought I was going to die.
"I went to a place where I was lost. Completely," he says tearfully.

Joubert also talked about his abusive childhood, his struggles with bullying and realising he needed help.
