A video showing a Cape Town man casually braving a torrential flood in a street has been going viral.

In the video, you see a man standing in the middle of a street with flood water rushing by him.
The man did not freak out and instead casually held onto the lamp post and then in a bizarre moment, uses a cup to drink some of the flood water.
One can also hear a concerned person shouting for someone to help pull the man out of the flood, but they were more concerned than the man himself.

People could not wrap their heads around the video and commented: “Did he just drink the water,” and “Stopping the flood one sip at a time”.
