Car jamming video goes viral
Updated | By Poelano Malema
Car jamming is a serious problem in South Africa. According to 1st for Women, car-jamming is on the rise and car-jammers earn up to R15,000 a week. Without double-checking that all your car doors are locked, one could find themselves a victim of car jamming.
The sad truth is that it takes criminals seconds to get whatever goods they want from the victim's car.
A video, uploaded by CICA, shows just how quickly one can become a victim. The video shows three cars parked outside a Shell garage in an unknown location in South Africa. A man can be seen getting out of a car and opening the boot of the car next to him, removing what seems to be a laptop bag. He then goes back into his car with the bag, before the car drives off.
Watch the incident below and prevent yourself from becoming a victim.
Apart from double-checking that all doors of the car are locked, another method of preventing car-jamming is to install an anti car-jamming device - which warns vehicle owners of car-jamming signals.
