In sickness and in health? A couple got married in hazmat suits after the bride tested positive for coronavirus.
Hours before the ceremony on 6 December, the bride-to-be was diagnosed with coronavirus and instead of cancelling the event, the couple found other ways to make it work.
According to The Independent, the couple had this to say about their special day:
“Not in my wildest dream I could have thought we would have to wear a PPE (personal protective equipment) kit at our wedding and medic team will shower flowers on us,” Shyam Sharma, the 26-year-old groom, told The Independent. “I am happy we were able to get married despite difficulties but I am worried about the health of my wife.”

Mr Sharma and Ankita exchanged their vows while the priest, also dressed in PPE, recited the mantras.
The couple got married at a COVID-19 care centre and only four people were allowed at the ceremony - the bride, the groom, the bride's father, and the priest.
