Dove's new ad fights sporting stereotypes
Updated | By Poelano Malema
Women in sport often have to deal with much criticism from the public and media.

They get criticised for their looks and their bodies.
Our very own Caster Semenya has had to endure much criticism from the world at large because of her body and looks.
Now Dove has come up with a campaign that challenges the public and media to change the way they view women in sport - to focus on ability rather than their looks.
The campaign, led by former gymnast and Olympic gold medalist Shawn Johnson, who was often negatively labelled by the media, launches on Wednesday in Times Square in New York City.
"I feel like our world today is pushing beauty over athleticism for young girls. I want to be an advocate to change that," Johnson told Mashable.
Below is the video of the campaign.
