Elephant lends 'helping tusk to stranded monkey'

A sight you don't get to see every day and an April Fool's Joke.
A post on Latest Sightings on Facebook has warmed a lot of hearts and we can't help but share it with you too.
According to the post, a monkey was stuck on the wrong side of the river and an elephant saw its plight and decided to assist by going into the river and carrying the monkey to the other side. A photo of this special moment was captured and has left many people in awe. The post turned out to be an April Fool's joke but we love it nonetheless.

It's not the first time an elephant was 'captured offering kindness' to other animals. There was a time an elephant was captured shielding a little lion cub from the sun while helping it cross the road.
