Family narrowly escapes hijacking attempt in Midrand
A family had a lucky escape after a group of armed men pulled up behind them.
Video footage showing an alleged attempted hijacking is doing the rounds on social media. It is also suspected that the incident took place in Vorna Valley, Midrand.
The video shows an Audi pulling into a driveway closely followed by a Hyundai. Two armed men are then seen jumping out of the Hyundai before the quick-thinking Audi driver makes a getaway. The perplexed robbers run after the Audi on foot, but it's too late.
The victim of the incident shared the experience with other social media users under the post shared by Intelligence Bureau SA Facebook page.
