Hundreds of women from around the globe have shared their dreams with Google in celebration of International Women's Day. From wanting to own a science lab to playing professional baseball, learn more about their stories here.
Dare to dream, as dreams do come true. That is the message which Google's latest Doodle is trying to tell women all over the world.
In celebration of International Women's Day 2016, Google decided to celebrate the next generation of Doodle-worthy women by allowing them to share their dreams with the world.
The Doodle spoke to different generations of women, from different parts of the world, about what they aspire to be in the future. The women were asked to finish off the sentence "One Day I Will...".
"Over the years, Doodles have commemorated the achievements of women in science, civil rights, journalism, sports, arts, technology, and beyond. It’s always an honor to pay tribute to women who have changed the course of history, sometimes in the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacles. But for this year’s International Women’s Day, we wanted to celebrate the Doodle-worthy women of the future. So we gathered our cameras and pencils and visited 13 countries where we spoke to 337 women and girls and asked them to complete the sentence, “One day I will…”," Google said in a statement.
The answers were captured in an animated video which uses illustrations to act as a universal language, as the women in the video used their native languages to answer the question.
What does being a woman mean to you? What would you like to achieve? Use the #OneDayIWill to let Bridget know.
