Gucci has released a pair of sneakers that people can only wear virtually.

Would you buy shoes you can't actually wear or resell?
Gucci has released a virtual pair of shoes and they're selling for as little as R130. The Gucci Virtual 25 sneaker can only be used in apps like Roblox or VRChat and is available for purchase on the Gucci app.

There are two options available, the high-end pair will cost you $12.99 (R220), while the cheaper pair costs $8.99 (R130). Videos of people 'wearing' the sneakers have been shared on social media and it seems people really are buying them.
The colourful sneakers were designed by Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele and according to some comments, people are likely to wear them in real life as they resemble the new futuristic sneaker collection the fashion giant recently released.
