Homeless men save student from traffickers in Braamfontein

Two homeless men rescued a young woman from an abduction attempt in Johannesburg.
A Twitter user, namedΒ Boitumelo, shared her abduction story on Twitter and it's raising awareness of the eminent danger students face each day when walking the streets of Johannesburg.Β
There has been a scourge of cases of young women going missing and their pictures shared all over social media. This young woman had a lucky escape when two homeless men heard her screams for help and took it upon themselves to be her heroes. The thread has been shared more than 5,000 times on Twitter, with people asking for police to intervene and make Braamfontein safe.Β

So I was standing at a robot in Braam going to campus from the gautrain around 5:45, an old Audi A3 stopped next to me two guys stepped out one from the passenger one from the back, immediately the boot got open. I'm on my phone next thing.....

Next thing these two men are coming around me trying to pick me up/push me towards the boot. Helang I'm there with my bags fighting and screaming cause I could see another one coming with something that seemed like a tranquilizer....while I'm screaming Two homeless guys.....

Two homeless guys came running with knives shouting and causing a commotion.Literally people started looking and shouting...The men dropped left me with all my belongings right there and drove off. I was so traumatized ππππ the two guys walked me to Wits. I couldn't function
