Hungry underground station escalator 'swallows' a man
If you ever needed a reason to fear escalators, this is it.
Talk about being at the wrong place at the wrong time?! This poor guy just happened to get on the escalator at its hungriest.
When stepping onto an escalator, how many of us actually think that something could go wrong? The worst that could happen is if you miss a step and fall, right? Apparently not. You could get swallowed up.
A man at an underground station in Turkey got to see the gut of an escalator when he was gobbled up. The escalator literally gave way under his feet and devoured him! According to Metro, the terrifying experience lasted for an entire hour, but thankfully firefighters rescued him and he got out with minor injuries.
