Kim and Kanye 'Yeezus' West name their son 'Saint' West
Updated | By Tando Ntunja
How religious are Kim and Kanye West? In addition to referring to himself as 'Yeezus' (a play on 'Kanye' and 'Jesus'), the controversial rapper and his reality TV star wife have opted to name their son 'Saint'.
It would appear that the Kardashian-Wests frequently look to the heavens for their inspiration.
First, the couple welcomed their baby girl North on the 15th of June 2013 into the world. Mere days after 'Nori's' birth, Dad-of-The-Family Kanye started using the 'Yeezus' moniker upon the release of his sixth studio album "Yeezus" - a play on his first name 'Kanye' and 'Jesus'.
In their most recent 'heavens-linked' move, Kim and Kanye West have named their son 'Saint' after months of speculation over whether they might adopt another cardinal point to follow on the trend that Big Sis' North started. Not so.
Turns out the Kardashain-Wests aren't alone in using the name 'Saint' however. Other US celebs following this route include Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz and Meagan Camper who named their son 'Saint Lazslo Wentz', Foo Fighters lead singer Dave Grohl named his daughter 'Ophelia Saint Grohl', while actress Selma Blair named her son 'Arthur Saint Bleick'.
It may well be a 'spritually inspired' move, but should the Kardashian-Wests travel to New Zealand with young Saint in future, they may well run into a bit of trouble!
Turns out the name is in a long list of those rejected by the Department of Internal Affairs in New Zealand, listed under 'unacceptable baby names'. If your child is named any religious name including 'Messiah, Christ, Bishop, Lucifer or Saint', you may well run into issues at customs in the Kiwi Republic. 'Bishop' and 'Lucifer' are also forbidden in the country, which doesn’t allow any name that implies a title or rank.
And in case you're wondering, the Kardashian-Wests have left no stone unturned and have also immortalised themselves in emoji form (yelp!):
