The study by the London School of Economics was completed using thousands of people from Australia, Britain, Germany, and the United States. It found that social relationships, mental and physical health, and their emotional health when they were a child, were some of the factors that contributed to people's happiness, VOX reported.
And we all know how being in love can have a positive effect on our lives. The study found that having a partner increased happiness levels, while losing one saw the same impact downwards, according to Mashable.
On the other hand, the study found that suffering from depression or anxiety were the main causes for misery. The study suggested that more focus should not be placed on wealth creation, but rather well-being creation.
