Planet of the Apes? Wild animals take over locked-down Catalonian town
Updated | By Mack Rapapali Nights
A sounder of wild boars took over a town during the lockdown and had to be escorted back to the wild by police.
Six wild boars took a stroll down the empty streets of a town in Catalonia in the north of Spain.
It's a scene most of us can liken to the famous American science fiction action film 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes', where apes were ruling and humans were at their mercy.
The coastal Spanish town was ripe for the taking due to the country’s coronavirus lockdown and we will likely see similar stories as most countries in the world are on lockdown due to the COVID-19.
