Pretoria man attempts to break the Guinness World Record for skipping

The
attempt will take place on Friday, 6 May.
SD Heijns will attempt to break the world record currently held by Sella Rosa Rega from Boiceville, New York.

The attempt will take place at the Sun International’s Maslow Time Square Hotel in Pretoria.
In order to monitor the event, it will be live-streamed and broadcast over various media.
The current eight-hour record stands at 70,030 skips, which is the target to beat. If he does, he will set his sights on the 12 and 24 hour records.

When he was asked why he wants to do it, he said: “To bring the record to South Africa, to test the limits of the human body, and to demonstrate the fitness potential of training with minimal equipment.”
