Reach For A Dream breaks Guinness World Record
Aid organisation Reach For A Dream has once again made the dreams of children with life-threatening illnesses come true.
The organisation launched the Cooking for Dreams fundraiser which saw close to 2 000 South Africans participating.
They successfully contested the title for the most people cooking online simultaneously
The contestants were required to prepare the same recipe at the same time while broadcasting the cook-off virtually.
They were assisted by celebrity chefs including J’Something and David Higgs.
The fundraising initiative’s Julia Sotirianakos says the previous record was set in the UK in February by 532 people cooking simultaneously virtually.
She says creating the virtual platform was a challenge.
