Shocking assault inside a grocery store in Potchefstroom
Updated | By The Workzone with Mack Rapapali
A video of an assault inside a grocery store is making the rounds on social media and it’s prompting a lot of questions around our society and its health.

A video filmed in what appears to be a storage area in a grocery store in Potchefstroom shows a man, said to be the manager, assaulting a merchandiser.
We have been witnessing a rise in gender-based violence. Unless you have been living under a rock, then you would’ve seen your timeline
bombarded with images of women with bruised faces, women going missing or
having been killed by their husbands or boyfriends.
According to the Facebook post, the employee was assaulted because he wore a beanie on his head. The video shows the manager manhandling the employee, shoving him and slapping him on his head. He also threw his beanie on the floor and grabbed his sunglasses.

The grocery store has since dealt with the matter
but it’s really hard to ignore the rate at which violence is escalating in our
country.
