Updated | By Poelano Malema
Despite the embarrassment, this retired veteran sent a very heart-warming public apology to a woman he had falsely accused. Rebecca Landis Hayes of California was surprised to find a rude note on her car one afternoon. The note read: "This parking is for veterans, lady. Learn to read and have some respect."
Heartbroken Hayes took to social media to correct the wrong assumption, stating that she had served in the United States Navy for eight years, Mirror reported. The offender somehow saw the note and managed to release an apology in the form of a letter.
Below is the apology that has gone viral.
