A walk down memory lane with Sipho 'Hotstix' Mabuse
This gentle and well-loved musician, Sipho "Hotstix" Mabuse, sat On The Couch with Mack Rapapali and it was such an honour.
Sipho "Hotstix" Mabuse, born and raised in Johannesburg, is an internationally celebrated South African musician. After dropping out of school in the 1960s, Mabuse got his start in the African soul group the Beaters in the mid-1970s.
Mack Rapapali had the chance to speak to the icon about his early years in the music industry during South Africa's darkest time. In the interview, they covered details about his relationship with the late Johnny Clegg and some of the powerful memories he left behind.
