A scam involving Lotto and Powerball players has circulated, and people need to be very wary.

The scam involves sending players an SMS or email claiming that they have won a large sum of money. However, there is no information about what they ask for afterwards.
The iThuba National Lottery team released a statement saying: "The only way to win the National Lottery is to buy and be in possession of a winning ticket. The National Lottery will never send you an email or SMS stating the value of your winnings, or your details to claim them.".
