We are all well aware of the dire water situation in the Western Cape and this act of kindness could provide a little much needed relief.
The Eikenhof Dam is situated near Grabouw in the Western Cape and recently opened its gates to help provide some much-needed relief to the City of Cape Town.
The Dam is majority used by local farms who have decided to perform this act of kindness out of pure generosity and according to the comments on the video loaded to Facebook, the Eikenhof dam received no funding or payment to release this water.
Facebook user Cathy Shaw shared a video and images of the Dam opening its gates to allow water to be released to the City of Cape Town.
