A car guard from Middelburg in Mpumalanga has stunned thousands of viewers with his incredible musical abilities. 39-year-old Pablo Muvunyi has become an internet sensation after a video of him playing the piano in the Middelbrug Mall was posted on YouTube.
Muvunyi, originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, plays a number of instruments including the guitar, piano, marimba, and banjo.
During the civil war in the DRC, Muvunyi was forced to take up arms and fight in the war. He managed to flee the war, and has found refuge in South Africa.
“I believe that many bookings will follow, but my car guard position is what presently keeps the pot boiling, and for that I’ll always be thankful,” he told the Middelburg Observer.
