Shocking…
utterly shocking!

A virologist has been going viral (excuse the pun) after sharing some disgusting facts about keeping the same pillow for more than two years.

According to the virologist, Dr Lindsay Broadbent, if your pillow is older than two years, then 10% of the pillow weight is dust mites and their fecal matter.
Another man, Dr Karan Raj, also urged people to change their pillows every two years after sharing even more shocking facts.
He said that the average person sheds about four kilograms of skin each year, and this is what helps the dust mites breed.
He also said that the yellow stains on your pillow are caused by body moisture and body oils, which when they build up can help mold and fungus grow.

He left one last pro tip by saying that if you fold your pillow in half and it does not spring back, then your pillow is dead and does not provide and support for your neck.

Ohh. I love grossing people out telling them that if their pillow is >2 years old 10% of the weight is house dust mites and their poo!
