A video shared by a physician’s assistant and TikTokker, Med Explained 2 You, has people rethinking how affectionate they are with their dogs.

In the video, it is explained that it is possible to get a bacterial infection from your canine companion which can lead to the amputation of limbs.
The bacteria which can cause such severe results is called Capnocytophaga Canimorsus.

Despite the warning that was issued, it should be noted that Capnocytophaga infections in humans are rare.
