WATCH: Metro cops fire shots while driver refuses to surrender
Cape Town Metro Police officers shot out the tyres of a vehicle in the middle of a busy intersection.
Onlookers and pedestrians were left horrified when they witnessed the moment cops shot at a suspect's car when the driver allegedly failed to stop when he was instructed to.
The vehicle, a silver Audi A4, which was stopped by a branded metro police vehicle at Race Course Road in Milnerton, was shot at several times as the driver refused to surrender. Many social media users wondered what was so important that the driver refused to come out of the car even when the cops were shooting at his car.

On the video, officers can be seen circling the vehicle, banging on the windows and instructing the driver to come out, when he refused, they shot at the tyres.
Several videos of the incident have been shared on social media. According to the Intelligence Bureau Facebook page, the suspect managed to fee even though the tyres where shot.
