Things turned ugly during a recent football match in Brazil.
A player attacked a referee after a decision was made that he disagreed with.

The video shared shows the player attacking the referee before kicking the man while on the floor. Other players ran to break up the assault.
The player named Riberio has now been charged with attempted murder after the match abruptly ended in the 59th minute.

The regional refereeing union has demanded that the player be banned from ever playing football again. The stance is that there is no excuse for such horrible behaviour.
