Pets can be a big part of families - and this man proved it by saving his pooch.
The video starts innocently enough, with a man and his family throwing balls into the water for the dogs to fetch.

However, it seems that one of the dogs had gotten very tired and tried to swim far out to get his ball when it started floundering in the water.
The dog’s owner was quick to see that his pet was struggling, but not before the dog went under the water for a while.

The man wades into the water and carries the dog out, and when on land, the dog wakes up looking a little worse for wear.
