After
being stuck in New Zealand for three years, he finally made it home for a
visit.
A South African man living in New Zealand named Norm Calmeyer was trapped there after the pandemic hit and closed all the borders.

As soon as the borders opened up, he secretly planned a visit with his family to surprise his elderly parents.
According to Calmeyer, his parents had resigned themselves to never seeing him again, which made the reunion even more special.

When he finally walked into his parents’ home, they looked at him in surprise, but very quickly embraced him with tears in their eyes.
