WATCH: Thief runs out of airtime during robbery

Two criminals attempted to steal a car and kidnap a security officer but were thwarted by their lack of airtime to call in the other criminals.

The robbers put the security guard in the back of the vehicle and started driving away before trying to make a phone call.

While the robbers were occupied finding out why the call wouldn't go through, the officer in the back manages to make a run for it.
