WATCH: Why did the snake cross the road?

A video shared by snake rescuer Nick Evans has been doing the rounds on social media.

In the video, you see a terrified mamba in the middle of the road, trying to cross over and get to safety.

When Evans tried to grab it and get it off the road, he said that he noticed blood on its mouth, so he decided to take it home and nurse it back to health.

People loved the rescue and commented: “Hope it turns out ok and that it doesn't suffer.”
