Woman wakes up from eight-month coma to expose “loving” boyfriend
A woman from China has woken up from an eight-month coma to reveal that her boyfriend, who stood by her side and paid all her medical bills, was the reason she was in a coma.
Spending time by your partner's side when she is in a coma, and even going to the extent of paying her hospital bills, may seem like the most loving thing to do, but for a 22-year-old man in China, the "praise" he received for being a loving partner soon turned to "sorrow" when his girlfriend woke up.
Liu Fenghe was praised by Chinese reporters for being a loving and supportive partner, but the story changed when his girlfriend revealed that he was the reason she was in a coma, Mashable reported.
Lin Yingying, who is also 22, told reporters that Fenghe was the reason why she sustained the head injury that resulted in a coma.
She was allegedly beaten repeatedly for burning bread in the bakery that they both ran in Liaoning, China. This was allegedly not the first time Fenghe beat her up.
However, Yingying said she was afraid of speaking about the abuse in public, until her father persuaded her to do so.
"You have died once, what more are you afraid of? It's time to confront reality," her father, Lin Shuqing, reportedly told her.
The matter has been reported to authorities.
