It's time for another installment of the 'Healthy Eating Series' to help prepare you for the Discovery Jacaranda FM Spring Walk.

Last week I shared with you the ideal Post Detox and today we look at what you can do a week before the Discovery Jacaranda FM Spring Walk.
#TAPERWEEK - Replenishing yourself with good nutrition is a critical part of the week before the race – the Taper week and the 3rd addition of the 'Healthy Eating Series' shows you how easy it is to make an amazing salad in just minutes.
Remember, it is important to keep to the basics mentioned in last week’s episode but to also increase your intake on fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, legumes, nuts and seeds.
- Drink plenty of water.
- Load up on nitrates.
- Start introducing a carbohydrate drink daily before and during training
