232 snakes caught in Worcester over seven months

Over half of the snakes were highly venomous.
More than 230 snakes were caught by Silverfox Snake Rescues in Worcester in the Western Cape from September 15 last year until Tuesday this week.
According to the information on Silverfox Snake Rescues Facebook page, 60% of all the snakes were highly venomous.
The snakes were caught from houses, gardens, and vehicles.

Some of the deadliest snakes, like the Cape Cobra, were caught by André du Preez from Silverfox Snake Rescues.
According to Die Burger, Du Preez, who is also a resident of Worcester, said the service is provided free of charge to the community.
Du Preez further mentioned that most snakes were caught within the Panorama area. Other areas are Worcester-Wes, Somersetpark, and Langerug.
