'Easy On Me' is from her self-described "divorce" album, '30', which is coming on November 19.
After her divorce from Simon Konecki in 2019, many fans believed she would begin writing about heartbreak. And they were correct.
Her new song has broken major records since its release.

Millions around the world are in love with the hit song - but what do critics say?
"It's an impassioned defense of a difficult choice, and a request for grace and understanding. This is not a call to smooth things over with an ex, like "Hello." Really, "Easy On Me" is an artifact for Adele's 9-year-old son, an attempt to explain why his parents must live across the street from each other now, a delicate handling of a painful situation. Adele being Adele, she phrases this message in a way that makes it accessible to all of us, even if the specifics of this story are unique to her." - Vulture
"There may be new heartbreak to reckon with, but Adele still delivers the same satisfactions." - Pitchfork

"Adele returns and reduces the world to tears with 'Easy on Me'" - Rolling Stone
"The first single from her divorce-focused new album 30 is quintessential Adele: piano, romantic recrimination, and soaring vocal work" - The Guardian
"Hearing that irreplaceable tone breathe the words "There ain't no gold" in the opening seconds of "Easy On Me" induces precisely the same goosebumps as "Hello... it's me..." did six years ago." - Billboard
