The ANC chose the worst-looking cake for its celebration
Updated | By Nkhensani Manabe
The Chris Hani Municipality's celebratory cake was quite the eye sore.
The ANC in the Eastern Cape is having to deal with social media backlash after pictures of a cake used for a party event in the Chris Hani Municipality surfaced.

Executive Committee member Lindiwe Gunuza said that the cake was a donation, and that since they did not pay for it, they cannot take responsibility for the way that it looks.
This shoddy cake was the centrepiece at the region's cake-cutting ceremony. All of the country's ANC branches held similar ceremonies this week to commemorate the party's 106th anniversary.
Social media users took this opportunity to reminisce about past bad ANC cakes.

Are things that bad in the ANC? The one cake looks like a Grade R project while the other one is in the colours of Dikwankwetla Party! 🤣😂🤣😂 pic.twitter.com/OzeNgUuHBK

A parody "ANC Cake" account joined in on the fun:
