Author Sihle Khumalo joins Rian to talk about South Africa's Rainbow Nation

44-year-old South African author, Sihle Khumalo joined The Scenic Drive team - have a listen
Award-winning author and father of two, Sihle Khumalo was born in Nqutu in rural KwaZulu-Natal.

At the age of 44, Sihle is one of South Africa's best selling authors, with his work receiving critical acclaimed. His first two books were long-listed for the Alan Paton Award and his third, won the 2014 South African Literary Award (SALA) in the creative non-fiction category.
In 2011, Khumalo was selected by the Destiny Man Magazine as one of 40 men, under the age of 40, who are Destined for Greatness. His writing has also received endorsements from the likes of Zakes Mda, Max du Preez and Paul Theroux.
He joined the Scenic Drive team to chat about his book and the state of our nation.
His book My Rainbow Nation My Zulu Arse was written while travelling from Cape Town to Cairo using only public transport. While travelling he investigated the state of our nation. Despite all the depressing failures that our country faces, Sihle believes that ''we've got a beautiful country.''
Sihle still also argues that there is still a lot of work to be done to achieve our country's fullest potential.
