Can tattoos be addictive?

Some say it's a personal experience with a deeper meaning. Others say it's an addiction, and others might argue that it's an act of rebellion.
According to Psychology Today, tattoos are a form of art that some people use to make them more beautiful, more significant, and more alive. They draw attention, and the attention can boost self-esteem.

Jacaranda FM presenter, Danny Painter, recently admitted that she has about 30 tattoos and that only one has a meaning. The rest were just aesthetically pleasing.

Rugby player, Francois Hougaard mentioned in an interview with SARIE that his body is a journal and that all his tattoos tell a story. Others argue that the pain and adrenaline while getting a tattoo can be addictive while endorphins are released.
