Clubgoers dive 137 feet underwater for a good time
Updated | By The Scenic Drive with Rian
Anyone who believes the regular club scene has become boring should perhaps consider the underwater dance scene in Padua, Italy.

Party animals looking to combine a good night of dancing with a one-of-a-kind swimming lesson will enjoy a trip to Y-40/The Deep Joy in Padua, Italy. The swimming pool is 137 feet (41 metres) deep - the deepest in the world - and is filled with thermal water.
Recently the pool was converted into an underwater dance club, complete with neon lights and a set performed by DJ Peggy Gou, whose tunes could be heard through the specialised sub-aqua sound system.
Organisers equipped everyone who attended the party with diving helmets - because being able to breathe is a very important element of being able to dance.
The experience was as exciting as it will be unforgettable. One of the underwater revellers said: "It was incredible. It looks like you were walking in a different planet. And there were so many swimmers and they made beautiful movements. [sic]"
This was the first event of its kind and, if the responses from those who partied in the pool are anything to go by, the Italians may have just created a new niche in the rave culture.
