Concerns of sewage spilling onto Umhlanga beach front
We are all familiar with Umhlanga being one of the most pristine beaches in South Africa but would you still visit it if it was covered in sewage.
Heinz de Boer who exclaimed in a video posted on Facebook that he is the executive councillor of the eThekwini municipality and the ward councillor for Umhlanga has found the condition of the beachfront unacceptable.
In this video he captures sewage pouring from a pipe onto the promenade and the beach.

De Boer also explains that the eThekwini municipality had been informed months ago that the pipes needed to be replaced.
The scary thing is seeing people run through it and cones being placed around the area as a solution.
