After 50 years, a couple still eats some of their wedding cake on every anniversary.
It’s a tradition for couples to freeze a piece of their wedding cake and tuck into a slice on their one-year anniversary.
However, a couple took it a bit further.
David and Anne Cowburn got married on 18 July 1970 and after nearly 50 years, they are still eating their wedding cake.

On every anniversary, they eat a piece of the wedding cake.
According to the New York Post, neither of them has become sick of the cake.
They also stated that the cake is very special to them.
Our very own Danny Painter confessed that she still has a piece of her wedding cake in her fridge.
"I never had a wedding cake, so four years ago my husband surprised me with a wedding cake with a heart on - his heart," she says.
"I still have the heart in my fridge and I'm not sure if I will ever eat it."
