Beckham said he felt agonisingly "helpless".
The Beckhams' days of living in fear came to an end this week when a London judge ordered Sharon Bell, who had been accused of harassing the Beckhams, to be held under the Mental Health Act of the UK.
David, who is now on vacation with his family in Croatia, made a statement that was read out in court.
He stated: "I felt that the language in the letters was growing and becoming more emotional and threatening to me and my family - and this frightened me.

"She suddenly emerged, increasing the threat's specificity and intimidation. I was frustrated that there was nothing I could do and felt powerless".
Victoria expressed her anxiety for her daughter in her statement to the court by saying "“I'm worried about her safety. I'm very concerned and anxious about Harper going to the park or being taken on school trips.”
