Doctor Pierre Nel tests Rian van Heerden for coronavirus
Rian van Heerden has lately been complaining about feeling fluish - and thinks he might have coronavirus. Doctor and singer Pierre Nel joined the Scenic Drive to get to the bottom of this.
After a weekend of not feeling well and going through a midlife crisis - Rian van Heerden decided to call doctor and singer Pierre Nel to test him for the coronavirus.

"I've been up the whole night - and I really think I have the coronavirus.
"I came to work with a mask just to protect you all from the virus."

According to Dr Nel, Van Heerden is fine for now. Van Heerden must just make sure that he rest enough and take things easy.
WHAT IS CORONAVIRUS?
According to CNN, "The Coronavirus is a large family of viruses. In rare cases, they are what scientists call 'zoonotic', meaning they can be transmitted from animals to humans."
SYMPTOMS
The virus makes people sick - similar to a common cold. Coronavirus symptoms include a runny nose, cough, sore throat, possibly a headache, and maybe a fever.
HOW IT SPREADS?
When it comes to human-to-human transmission of the virus, often it happens when someone comes into contact with an infected person's secretions, such as droplets in a cough.
TREATMENT
According to CNN, there is no treatment for now, but research is underway.
HOW TO PREVENT IT?
Avoid sick people. If you feel sick - seek a doctor or healthcare provider.
Always cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze, and disinfect the objects and surfaces you touch.
