Dr Emmanuel Taban named one of the 100 Most Influential Africans

Dr Emmanuel Taban has been recognised as one of the 100 Most Influential Africans of 2020 - for saving critically-ill COVID-19 patients.
Dr Emmanuel Taban, a South Sudanese physician who lives in South Africa, has been recognised by the New Africa Magazine as one of the 100 Most Influential Africans of 2020.
Dr Taban tried out his novel use of therapeutic bronchoscopies on critically ill COVID-19 patients in his clinic and saved the lives of all he worked on.

Dr Taban holds three medical degrees. In 2019, Taban qualified to offer expert pulmonology care at Mediclinic Highveld – a rare and valuable service in rural Mpumalanga – as well as Mediclinic Midstream.
In 2020, Dr Taban joined the Scenic Drive to talk about his journey - and how his life changed after becoming a physician in South Africa.
